The Parliament of New South Wales wants information from vendors on a new content management system (CMS) or digital experience platform (DXP) for its public website.
The request for information (RFI) calls for a vendor-hosted Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) solution using Australia-based cloud hosting services.
NSW Parliamentary Services has specified three preferred technologies for the new system: Xperience by Kentico, or the Optimizely One, or Squiz DXPs.
The RFI document states that a digital design system and user interface have already been designed and will be used as part of the implementation.
The current website runs on Microsoft SharePoint CMS v16, with integrations to a bespoke parliamentary system using Representational State Transfer Application Programming Interfaces (REST APIs).
A key requirement of the new system will be integration with Parliament's existing bespoke information management system through a new set of connections.
The new web platform will need to integrate with this system through a new set of connections as reuse of existing REST APIs is not available, the document states.
The selected solution must comply with Parliament's cybersecurity and network requirements.
Respondents must be registered, or eligible to be registered, as "Advanced Suppliers" under the NSW Government ICT Services Scheme.
Parliamentary Services plans to launch the new website "as soon as practicable," with development commencing January 2026.
Responses must be submitted through the Buy.NSW portal by 3pm on 24 April 2025.
