IronPort is a Cisco business unit and provides enterprise protection against spam, viruses and spyware.
Kai Garvin-Brown will take the reigns as IronPort’s first Perth-based territory manger for Western Australia. He comes to IronPort following two years as business development manager at Alphawest, a subsidiary of Optus Networks Pty Ltd.
In addition, IronPort has also established a national sales administration office at Cisco’s Melbourne address, to be managed by Angela Marsh. She previously spent two years in a senior administration position at Toyota Motor Corporation Australia Limited, said IronPort Australia general manager, John Martens.
“The growth of our business in Western Australia had reached the point where it was no longer practicable to regard the State as an extension of our Melbourne office. We clearly needed a manager on the ground,” he said. “In addition, the size of the business Australia-wide now makes it necessary for us to dedicate a full time experienced sales administrator to provide quality services for our partners and territory managers.”
IronPort Systems, headquartered in San Bruno, California, is a business unit of Cisco Systems, Inc. and provids anti-spam, anti-virus and anti-spyware appliances for organizations ranging from small businesses to the Global 2000.
