Epson has brought out two large format colour printers aimed at architects, engineers, construction companies, spatial data analysts and retailers.
The Epson Stylus Pro 7700 (24 inches wide) and Epson Stylus Pro 9700 (44 inches wide) were designed for the reproduction of architectural drawings and colour presentations, engineering plans, spatial data maps, and attention-grabbing point-of-sale displays.
Both printers use MicroPiezo inkjet technology for colour consistency. The printers' printhead has 10 channels supporting five-ink configuration.
Craig Heckenberg, business unit manager of Business Solutions Division at Epson Australia told CRN the printers would provide resellers with a broader range of Epson large format printers to successfully enter vertical markets.
He believed professional dealers that specialised in integrating high-end printing systems with software for Computer Aided Design applications.
"Both of these products will be offered under our current pro graphics terms and conditions," said Heckenberg. "They come with a one year onsite warranty, in capital cities and this can be extended to three years.
Authorised Epson Professional Graphics Dealers have been picked to distribute the printers, he said.
