Networking vendor D-Link plans to launch a revamped A/NZ partner program on the 1 April this year, CRN has learned.
The firm has prepared the local partner overhaul due to the broad nature of its current indirect set-up.
Domenic Torre, managing director for Australia and New Zealand at D-Link, told CRN its current program is well structured, but is a “one size fits all” program.
“A huge percentage of what is being offered [through the program] is not relevant to certain partners. We will be focused on resellers in certain markets such as education and local government. There are a number of verticals where we can provide value.”
Torre added the whole partners side of D-Link’s business requires an in-depth analysis of both current resellers alongside a partner recruitment drive.
Maurice Famularo, marketing director for Australia and New Zealand at D-Link, said after the vendor has launched the program it will scope out the program throughout the course of the year.
“We have about 1,100 partners across Australia and New Zealand, but at the moment our program is too broad and we want to stimulate some of the more inactive partners,” said Famularo.
