Rabid is sure you've had customers come back to your store whining about WiFi. The only way you could have avoided this is by not selling WiFi.
Although the technology does work these days, it is still just a tad too techie for a lot of users, although the latest self-discovery offerings from Netgear and Belkin are causing fewer callbacks.
What really gets customers complaining is when they try and stream video over WiFi. It just can't cut it, and the punters glaze over when we try and explain WiFi versus WiMax or even MIMO.
So we were pleasantly surprised to read about Ruckus Wireless which is setting up shop in Australia, selling clever WiFi kit which has the internal smarts to know when customers are trying to send video over the airwaves and compensate accordingly.
Rabid wants to sell lots of this kit if it keeps the help line quiet.
