It seems most of the advice on offer from Gartner consultants was big picture stuff about running your business with the right technology well into the future. And nobody was listening. Everybody just wants to know how to put out the spot fires. Well, Rabid doesn't need any gilt-edged consultants to help us change the toner in the copier.
But we sure as heck could do with some guidance when it comes to planning the best use of technology now, so we won't have to rip it all out every year and start again. Gartner was selling future-proofing and nobody around here was buying.
Are we all stuck in the last century behind our prime minister's white picket fence? Rabid is no longer relaxed and comfortable about that.
