Rabid is feeling quite ill and will be back after a quick lie down.
That's better. Now what on earth is going on? Silverlight, Microsoft's forthcoming client technology for "advanced, browser-based video functionality" is going to be supported at launch on Mac OS X. In fact, at the recent demo the software ran better and more often on the Mac than it did under Vista.
If Microsoft is doing this there must be a reason. They must know something we don't know. They must know something Apple doesn't know.
As Ray Ozzie, the bloke who invented Lotus Notes said "the pendulum has swing from software to pure services to software plus services," and Apple has always been rather good at that.
Rabid is off to buy a shedload of shares in Apple.
