Interesting to note that Sharp is ramping up production of solar panels, and expects more than 20 percent growth in the market, and a couple of solar panel makers in Taiwan intend to invest half a billion dollars to expand their manufacturing facility.
Yet here in the land of eternal sunshine we seem to be ignoring a golden opportunity. Every time alternative energy experts visit our shores they ask: "Where are all our solar panels?" Where indeed.
Isn't it about time Australia became a world leader in more forms of energy than just the ones we can dig out of our backyards?
Selling solar solutions requires backup technology and surely that would make a nice little side earner for IT resellers. Would you branch out into solar if the products were available?
Here comes the sun
