WA govt department looking for ERP solution

The Western Australian Department of Planning, Lands and Heritage (the Department) has released a request for information (RFI) around an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solution .

The Department’s primary objectives in determining its future ERP solution are to streamline and integrate core business processes, improve operational efficiency, and provide real-time visibility into organisational data and performance.

The proposed solution may consist of a single integrated system, multiple interconnected systems or a system which provides one part of the core functionality required (e.g. a finance or HRMIS solution) but can integrate with other systems if procured from another supplier.

While the finance, human resources and payroll functionalities are the primary focus at this time, there are a broad range of additional, non-core functions which could also potentially form part of the scope of any final procurement approach to market for an ERP Solution.

The proposed solution should establish a single source of truth for organisational data, ensuring transparency of information, data integrity, elimination of data duplication, and seamless data integration across all modules and systems.

The solution should also enable self-service capabilities, workflow automation, and minimisation of manual transactional processes, as well as offer adaptability and scalability to support changing business needs, future growth, and evolving industry requirements.

The Department’s current Information Technology landscape consists of disparate solutions within the support functions.

The key applications being utilised within the current ERP landscape include Technology One for finance and accounting; Dayforce Regional Pay for human resource management and payroll; Smartsheet for project management, tracking and reporting; ELMO for staff learning and performance management; and HIS Donesafe to record, track and report on WHS incidents.

The Department also utilises Objective Corporation as a central repository for storage and management of all physical and electronic records. This also includes a Ministerial and Director General Correspondence Processing System (CPS) which is a in-built workflow.

Objective ECM is integrated in differing ways with many business applications.

The EOI closes on Monday 17 November 2025 at 2:30PM WA time.
