Transport for NSW (TfNSW) has released a request for proposal (RFP) for the sourcing of Public Key Infrastructure management.
The scope of the contract is set to include managed PKI as a service; centralised digital certificate management capability covering the end-to-end management of certificates; automated end-to-end workflows; and an ability to manage planned reduced certificate validity timeframes.
As well as the the secure integration with identified Transport systems and/or applications, monitoring and ensuring compliance with Transport’s Cryptography and Key Management Standard and the reporting capability to support diverse requirements, such as operational metrics as well as executive-level reporting, are also key components.
The close date of the RFP is 28 November 2025 at 3:00 PM, with an estimated decision date of 1 April 2026.
In April, TfNSW launched a RFP for a comprehensive telematics solution to monitor its diverse fleet of approximately 1200 trucks and plant assets.
In June, TfNSW announced that its preparing to overhaul how it manages service requests and incidents tied to its operational technology, launching a procurement process to find a single integration partner for its internal ServiceNow-based platform, Operational Technology Connect.
