Sydney managed services provider RDP IT has merged with CRM and data analytics firm BICG Australia in an effort to business intelligence solutions across Australia, in addition to development, cloud, recruitment and managed services.
RDP IT chief executive Robert Delli Priscoli, who will lead the one company after the merger, said the combined business’ would bring 45 people into the group, and access to more than 300 engineers across Australia and New Zealand.
The CEO said more back office staff would be hired as well as new business intelligence specialists to complement the experience BICG brings in data analytics, business intelligence, Sharepoint and cloud services.
“BICG’s seasoned management team has done a fantastic job of building a business around modern data architecture, the think big but start small for all of their customers in Australia,” Priscoli said.
“Today’s rapidly changing data environment demand’s highly specialised resources. Business want to be first to market and if you can’t find and retain the right skilled specialist for your next data opportunity, then the moment is lost.”
Founded in 2015, RDP IT provides cloud telephony services through VOIP vendor ShoreTel, business intelligence solutions in partnership with Microsoft, IT consulting and recruitment. The company operates both in Australia and New Zealand.
The company has a number of ongoing projects with NSW Health, NSW Education and not-for-profits.
Cody Middlebrooke, BICG director, said coming together with RDP IT would be a win for customers.
“BICG’s proven designs and methodology allows business to get their data concepts established quickly. With RDP IT’s managed services and resources backbone, customers can now lower the ongoing risk of running the build, operation and maintenance stages of their high value data projects,” he said.
Priscoli said the business intelligence push comes as the demand for data access and interpretation ramped up.
“Business intelligence is the new hot topic and the way of the future. Business’ are wanting to understand their data and information. It allows a deep understanding of business and improve productivity in creating reports, dashboards, and data visualisations,” he said.
