Kaseya, a US-based provider of managed services software, has landed in Australia and is on the hunt for local system integrators looking to develop MSP practices.
The local office is being run by former SonicWALL A/NZ boss Tim Dickinson (pictured), who has been appointed as country manager.
Kaseya sells a range of backup/disaster recovery, patch and remote management, application deployment and network monitoring software that system integrators can package and sell as a managed or hosted offering.
Under the model, integrators charge a fixed monthly fee for the automated maintenance of each computer on their client network.
The traditional model where integrators charge by the hour and even discount for 'block hour' purchases is flawed, Dickinson said.
This reactive model is failing as revenue growth is only possible by adding more technicians, he said.
Dickinson added that under the model, system integrators become "more sophisticated" with improved visibility into their clients' networks, and the ability to conduct advanced monitoring, help desk remote control and summary reporting.
The company this month announced an agreement with Microsoft to deliver services to the software giant's small business partners including a licence bonus valued at up to $22,000 and priority access to training resources.
