There are two variants of the Magic, one is with Vodafone with Google and the other is with 3.
HTC launched the first Android phone in Australia with the Dream in February this year.
Magic can access all Google applications, it has multiple email capabilities, digital compass, GPS, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi.
Anthony Petts, sales and marketing director HTC A/NZ said it continues to be the dominant player in Android phones in Australia.
"We have got to a point where we have all the key features but we want to do more than the average Smart Phone," he said.
"The Android phone market is rapidly growing. There are over 3,200 free and paid applications available, the paid ones are coming to Australia very soon. The average amount a user downloads is 40 applications."
Petts said the typical Dream customer is the online user who utilises online functions or fitness people because of the fitness applications on the device.
He said the average customer was 25-30 years old.
"Magic is not a replacement to the Dream, but an addition to the Android Family. We have 11 handsets in the Australia and New Zealand market and we are expanding the Android portfolio," added Petts.
