The decision is based on demand from both existing customers and new business opportunities created by the continued boom in the mining and energy industries.
According to Pushkar Taneja, managing director of GlobalConnect Australia, the company’s success as a provider of communications systems is a natural fit with the requirements of the West Australian market.
“New data from the Australian Bureau of Agricultural and Resource Economics shows the resources sector continues to stimulate the local economy in Western Australia and we are confident the time is right to increase our local presence through on-the-ground sales and operations teams based in Perth,” said Taneja.
“It is an interesting time for the market at large given the current global economic uncertainty yet we believe the business savvy leaders of today see technology as a strategic asset that can be used to drive innovation, reduce costs and promote reinvention,” he added.
Taneja claims GlobalConnect’s capabilities to deliver enterprise solutions is the reason behind the organisation’s growth in existing customer relationships.
“We partner with our customers, rather than simply being a supplier, and that has been a factor in developing success with our customers,” he added.
