Advanced Data Integration has welcomed the new year with the announcement of a new growth strategy.
The local content management vendor has rebranded to Avand and boosted staff numbers.
The company is best known for its flagship DataWorks product targeting the local government vertical.
According to CEO Chris Gorry, the company had established itself with 134 clients in the sector.
However it was now time to target new opportunities in the utilities, education, health, finance, commerce and corporate markets.
"Councils and government departments have led the market in adopting content management systems to improve their operations and better serve their customers,” he said in a statement.
"With the added demands of meeting strict corporate governance and compliance standards and the need for risk mitigation, we see an increasing demand from many other sectors for this technology."
The company would also build upon the $775,000 Federal Government research and development grant it received in 2004 to aid in product development and stay competitive against multinational vendors, Gorry said.
“The latest version of DataWorks includes features that were made possible by the investment boost,” he said.
A new version aimed at a wider market was due for release shortly.
