What networking brands and related services do you specialise in?

At Data#3, we partner with Cisco and Aruba (a Hewlett Packard Enterprise company). We offer a wide variety of services including consulting, cybersecurity and risk, information and analytics, cloud, collaboration, managed services, project management, digital solutions, deployment and maintenance.

When did your company first get involved in this area?

Data#3 has over 40 years’ experience in IT services, and has successfully partnered with world-leading vendors to provide smarter networking solutions to organisations looking
to move to a mobile-first workplace.

What credentials does your business have in networking?

We currently hold top partnership levels with each of our vendor partners, which requires the highest level of certifications to be maintained. We have network engineers and architects in every state.

Who are your distributors?

We work with a number of distributors, including Synnex, Ingram Micro and Dicker Data.

What is the most interesting new development in networking?

AI-powered networking is allowing customers to create smarter workplaces. For example, Cisco’s DNA Assurance and Aruba’s NetInsight both use machine learning to continuously monitor the network, deliver insights into anomalies, and recommend how best to optimise the network for mobile, IoT and other devices.

Can you tell us about a deployment that you have done recently?

Data#3 recently deployed a next-generation wireless network for independent Brisbane school, John Paul College. The solution incorporated Wave 2 wireless network clusters, and security, to manage the 802.11ac network and provide a secure environment that’s easy to manage and support, with the ability to seamlessly onboard staff, student and guest devices.

What is driving customers’ networking projects?

Security, mobility, digital transformation, IoT and compliance and risk are key drivers for many networking projects. Businesses are looking to ensure networks are protected from external and internal threats; to empower employees to connect anywhere; and to seamlessly manage all devices on the network.
